我的 DIY CO2

片中的DIY CO2是用1.5公升氣水樽加上玻璃細化杯所做成的

DIY CO2原料如下：
1. 乾衣士(Dry yeast) - 兩茶匙
2. 蘇打粉(baking soda) - 兩茶匙
3. 沙糖 - 500g
4. 水 - 2/3 滿

最好是先把yeast混和在水中，然後如入蘇打粉，再注入已加了沙糖的水樽，混和直至大部份的沙糖都溶解。如果用玻璃細化杯會需要大一點壓力，所以要幾小時才會出CO2。不過，我因為試過爆樽，所以改了用氣木，一小時內就出CO2，不過氣泡就大一點。其實在網上也看到很多有趣的DIY CO2細化器造法，看來也是不錯的。

人口統計(Photos of our fishes)

昨日整理過魚缸後， 魚缸變得少有的整潔，所以今天就花了整個早上替魚兒拍照，希望一年後還能看見他們。


紅肚鉛筆 - 是有名的工作魚，買回來為了清理缸裡的絲藻，後來藻是消失了，但我懷疑絲藻主要是因為缸中養份消失而死去，並非工作魚的努力，但是他們樣子可愛，不工作沒多大問題！現在缸中的鉛筆還是較小和顏色較淡，希望長大後會好一點。


班馬魚 - 近年很流行的魚類。初時賣得很昂貴，樣子看來又太人工化，所以一直沒有興趣，後來因為價格下降而買了一包回家，現在返覺得他們的顏色在水草叢中相當突出。

蠑螈 (Newt )

They are our new pets, should be Chinese Fire Belly Newt (Cynops orientalis) 東方蠑螈(中國火龍). We bought 3 newts on 29 April and there were 3 eggs attached on the weed. The eggs hatched on 18 May & the baby newts are 12 Days old now. They eat baby brine shrimp (豐年蝦 BB), may eat little blood worm later, just like the adult. Currently, we buy freshly hatched baby brine shrimp from shops but the newt babies can only eat a few at a time. We tried to keep the shrimp in salt water but others suggested that baby brine shrimp is only good in the first few hours. So we have to buy frequently!
